There are two main designs of pet therapy with ZooDENS. If the disease is diagnosed we use Procedure # 1. If the origin of disease is unknown we apply Procedure # 2. Procedure # 1. Symptoms of disease are evident, the disease is diagnosed and the affected organ is identified. In this case we define the zones of direct projection (external sectors) of the affected organ.
2. Segmental skin zones: if the disease is located in the head area - cervical skin projection of the spine (zone of a cervical ring) should be treated (Fig. 3, a zone 1) . If the disease is located in the chest area - cervical and chest skin projections of the spine should be treated (Fig 3, zone 2). If the disease is located in an abdomen part of the body - lumbar-sacral skin projection of the spine (Fig. 3, zone 3) and also the tail (Fig. 3, zone 4) should be treated.
3. Universal skin zones: pads of front and back legs, internal surface of ears and front part of the nose (Fig. 3, zone 5, 6, 7).
It is possible to treat one or several universal zones during one session. If the animal has a severe health condition or heavy trauma, it is possible to have 3-4 sessions a day. In other cases procedure is applied 1-3 times daily. Duration of treatment is defined by the size of an animal and by severity of the disease. Average duration of one procedure is 5-25 minutes. The duration of the course of the treatment is from 1 to 14 procedures.
The area of a lumbar-sacral zone is treated (Fig. 4, zone 2) The healing of a universal zone - pads of front and back legs is provided (Fig.5).
Procedure # 2 The diagnosis of the disease is not identified. The animal has only general, uncertain symptoms of an illness: slackness, drowsiness, decrease in appetite, Fig. 6 refusal of water, and/or loosing weight. In this case we do not know the zone of a direct skin projection of the affected organ or the part of the body.
2. Universal zones: pads of front and back legs, internal surface of ears and front part of the nose (Fig. 3, zone 5, 6, 7).(Fin. 6, zones 2).
